CCIS inaugurates its first Container Freight Station (CFS) in South Africa
March 22, 2022The CCIS team has inaugurated its first multi-service platform in Durban, in the presence of Jean Vanmalle, Global Head of CCIS, and Eric Bonnemaison, Vice President, Head of Africa Inland Services.
An inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of the South African authorities and around 100 guests, mainly customers.
Strategically located near the port of Durban, this new site offers handling, storage and preparation of empty and full containers, unloading and stuffing, reefer Pre-Trip Inspection (PTI), PTI and bulk storage (sugar, copper, ...), in a fully secured area.
It includes a 5,000 m² bulk storage warehouse, as well as a 45,000 m² storage depot that will be able to hold approximately 3,500 TEU, which will strengthen our land-based offer in South Africa.
