A further step forwards reducing the Group's carbon footprint
August 30, 2023CMA CGM INLAND SERVICES (CCIS) has taken steps to curb its carbon emissions. At the Middlesbrough depot in the United Kingdom, 115 diesel-powered trucks have switched over to Hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO).
HVO is a second-generation biofuel manufactured from vegetable fat and oil.
Main benefits
- Reduce carbon emissions by 90% compared with diesel.
- Reduce air pollution (less NOx, no SOx and less particulate matter (PM).
