Switch to Bike
February 21, 2023As an organisation, we have the responsibility to minimise our impact on the environment as much as possible. Carbon dioxide emissions, for example, contribute significantly to climate change.
An initiative to avoid these climate gases has been introduced within the CCIS network. Employees at selected locations can lease an (electric) bicycle through their employer. This makes it possible to reduce emissions on the way to work. At the same time, employees get movement, which contributes to general health and fitness.
At our Belgian site in Antwerp, for example, bike leasing was introduced last year. More than 8,000 kilometers were covered by the team there. This saved the equivalent of more than 3 tonnes of CO2. The goal of the Belgian team for 2023 is 10,000 kilometers.
We are very proud of this achievement and plan to introduce similar initiatives at other CCIS sites.
