They are easier to load and unload due to their special design features. In particular, loading and unloading by crane can be carried out very easily from the open roof or through the doors with the roof open and the upper door cross member swung out.
In terms of construction, the open top container is similar to a standard container and is available in the dimensions 20 feet or 40 feet.
Open top containers are sold cargo worthy with a good condition tarpaulin and a valid CSC plate. The containers are stackable, have lashing eyes inside for lashing the cargo, and the doors are lockable.
