Purpose and context
CMA CGM Group is a Global Terminal Operator through its subsidiaries CMA Terminals, Terminals Link, CCIS and APL, as well as a major player in logistics.
Aware of its role in respect of sustainable development, the Group is developing in a responsible, sustainable way to shape a better future. This role is developed through the following principles: Protection of the environment, ensure the safety of our employees, security within our premises, satisfaction of our customers and improvement of performances. These principles are considered as paramount to conduct our business, and are in the best interest of each of the company's stakeholders.
Commitment
To achieve and reach the best QHSSE standards of the industry, CMA CGM Group developed QHSSE TI Guidelines based on the Top 10 Risks methodology. The Group provides its support and expertise through audits, seminars, trainings and best practices feedback in order to drive each business unit which has to comply with this policy.
This policy is in force in all business units under the QHSSE Coordination level 1.
Policy statement & objectives
- A. Comply with all local and international QHSSE legislation as a minimum and with allother requirements to which the site subscribes. Where a CMA CGM Group existing standard is more stringent than the legislation, then CMA CGM standard prevail.
- B. Implement and ensure the compliance with the CMA CGM Group QHSSE Terminals & Inland Guidelines requirements and related procedures.
- C. Comply with Security standards including ISPS standards when relevant.
- D. Implement QHSSE integrated management systems complying with ISO 45001, ISO14001, ISO 9001 to the level of “certification ready”.
- E. Identify and evaluate all risks and perform appropriate measures to lower QHSSE risks to acceptable levels.
- F. Establish, update and communicate objectives and measurable targets in order to drive and demonstrate continuous improvement and efficiency of the measures implemented to lower risks.
- G. Prevent any accident that could lead to an injury or a pollution of the environment.
Responsibility
- All management must uphold this policy and integrate its principles throughout its site.
- The management and supervisory staff will be held accountable for resourcing the QHSSE management system of the site to comply with this policy.
- Every employee will be trained according to his or her role and responsibility to efficiently contribute to the continuous improvement of the QHSSE performance.
